Naxos Town with its famous "Portara", the Venetian castle and its uniquely beautiful mansions, is an ideal starting point for your wanderings. A special event is the "Naxos Potato Festival" which takes place in September and where you can taste the famous Axiotiko product cooked in any way!
BEACHES
Naxos has beautiful beaches with clear blue waters, ideally covering all tastes, such as organized with umbrellas or more secluded and deserted, with calm seas or waves for water sports.

Orkos
Between Plaka and Mikri Vigla, the enchanting Orkos offers tranquility but also the possibility for sports activities windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Its main feature is the continuous small coves that are ideal for diving, where in combination with the white sand of the bottom, the cedar trees, the tranquility it offers and above all the magnificent view, make the beach unique.
Agios Georgios
Organized and the nearest beach in Chora, with a wide sandy beach and shallow waters.
Agios Prokopios
Organized beach with white sand and crystal clear waters, where it is suitable for diving and other water sports.
Agia Anna
Right after the beach of Agios Prokopios, it has fine sand, umbrellas and cedars that offer shade.
Plaka
Continuation of Agia Anna, the beach has fine white sand, large dunes, umbrellas and taverns.
Mikri Vigla
These are 2 beaches, Parthenos and Limanaki, separated by a rock.
The first is suitable for windsurfing and kitesurfing due to the strong winds, while in the second you can enjoy your swimming and sunbathing without wind.
Kastraki
Large and quiet beach with white sand, ideal for relaxing and walking.
Aliko
Relatively small and secluded beach with white sand and clear blue waters, easily accessible by vehicle.
Agiasos
Quiet and sandy with clear blue shallow waters, it is located at the southwestern end of the island.
Panormos
A small bay at the south-eastern end of the island, with a sheltered beach, green waters and white sand.
